If you check Google, there's something wrong with the Windows 7
version of the driver.

Some users, have been copying a file from the WinXP driver,
into their Windows 7, to make the Windows 7 driver work.

Which I don't consider to be a valid fix. It's not clear
the resulting driver (which then "makes sound"), is
really working properly.

It's almost as bad, as the other users who suggest running
a RealTek driver to run the AC97. In the past, that approach
would only give two channel output and no more. One user complained
that when he tried it, channels got swapped.

The best solution, is to just pop in a $10 sound card in
a PCI slot, and use the Windows 7 driver that comes with it.

Cards like this, used to be $10, but I see the price is now
up to $20. Visually, this looks a lot like a CMI8738 design.
The claim is, it comes with a Windows 7 driver.

And here I was thinking they killed the Game Port in Windows 7.
So the bottom yellow connector, isn't likely to be very useful.
I don't think Microsoft likes it.

no problems to buy a pci sound card (I have some of this stuff
somewere..), but it's not a fine solution for the problem.

Furthermore, on the same computer I also have another operating system.
