Default FX-55 OR FX-57 VS X2 4400

For what is purely a gaming rig - any advice?

4400+ and just o/c it to 2.6ghz (same stock speed as the FX57).

It's cheaper and will run faster than the FX57 because of the dual core

The Dual Core wont run games faster unless they've been designed to use 2
cores - the FX57 would be better for current/near futures games.

oops, my bad... 2.8ghz right!

right, the FX57 would be faster for gaming because of the clock speed plus
it's multiplier unlocked.
