Default GA-K8VNXP ATA RAID Problem

I am having a conflict with my USB external mass storage drives and
the ATA Raid controller. When I turn on the computer with the USB
drives plugged in the RAID 1 Array goes away. The RAID BIOS screen
does not even display - it is as it does not exsist. When the computer
is booted without the USB Mass Storage drives hooked up, the RAID
works fine. If the computer is booted without the USB drives hooked up
and then they are hooked up after the system is loaded the RAID works
fine. I have tried numerous setup configs including reverting to an
older BIOS (F2), but that did not solve the problem. Also I am using
an USB mouse, but in the BiOS the USB mouse is disabled. If I enable
the USB mouse, the mouse still works, but the ATA RAID goes away in
the boot process. Also, the mouse will not work using the PS/2 adapter
(Logitech Wheel mouse). I experimented with using different PCI slots
for the SCSI card, but that did not work. Also, I am using a dedicated
circuit to power the system. In addition, I am able to duplicate this
problem everytime the USB mass storage drives are hooked up and the
computer is booted. Also everytime the USB drives are unhooked the
before the boot process, the RAID returns. I used this config with my
old motherboard (Gigabyte GA-7VAXP) without this problem. Any help
would be appreciated.

check your bios boot order, sounds like it's set to boot to the USB first,
then the RAID

Thanks, but I have checked out the boot order in my problem solving
process. The boot disk is correctly pointed to my adaptec SCSI
device.

Did you install the patch from your Gigabyte install disk for USB?

To anyone interested... I just got off the phone with Gigabyte tech.
service. They said this is a documented problem that should be fixed
with a future BIOS release.
