Default Unable to wake my monitors up from their sleeps/turn offs?

Hello.

I find this super rare problem annoying for years. Once in a while (a
few times per year?) on all updated Windows (XP Pro. SP3 and 64-bit W7
HPE) PCs with ATI video cards (Radeon HD 4870, 4350, etc.) and various
Catalyst suite drivers, I am unable to wake my LCD monitors up from
their automatic sleeps/turn offs. Monitors tell me there are no video
signals. My computers and Windows were still alive and running since I
can remotely access them through SSH2 connections for command lines, and
keyboard lights respond.

Is there a way to force my video cards to wake up beside shutting down
and rebooting? I can't use hibernate and suspend since they don't work
to test it. Currently, I disabled the monitor's sleep for now to avoid
this problem and waste power and make more heat.

Thank you in advance.
