Default tv-out only at 60hz?

Hi Group,

I've got a Geforce4 Ti4200 with 64 megs from MSI and I wonder if there's any
way to get the TV Out to 50Hz (to actually comply with the PAL norm my TV
has). I would really appreciate this because I fear my cheap TV
won't take the 60Hz for long (it already started making strange noises). And IIRC I had it once set to 50Hz but that was with Win98 and I'm
now using WinXP Home Edition.
Additionally ther's always a green tone in the TV picture which, if corrected, reappears when launching the next videofile.
Thanks for you help and excuses for my bad English

CHoose the correct PAL settings for the TV out, standard PAL is 50Hz the
other is called PAL60. I have a feeling you have chosen the wrong broadcast
standard in the tv-out config.

(Just been googling and have jumped into this group for the same reason!)

No, I've got a GeForce Ti4200 with Detonator 45.23, with the TV Output format
set to I/PAL (United Kingdom), and it is _definitely_ outputting 60Hz
(strictly speaking, presumably PAL encoded colour, at a 60Hz frame rate, aka PAL60)
and will not let me change it from 60Hz to 50Hz.

The reason this is annoying is two fold... 1) Reduced resolution 2) mild 50Hz vs
60Hz shimmering of the screen position (interference from other vide sources
which I can eliminate by turning off other devices, but can't otherwise
tackle.)

Bloomin' annoying, and I wish NVidia would fix it.

Had similar-but-different problems with TV*in* on a GeForce 2 with the
NVidia WDM drivers; I used to have to hack the .inf file for it get the PAL
modes enabled, not sure how to persuade the detonators to output at 50Hz (at
least without TVTool or some other similar hackery.)

[growl]

Any good ideas?

Ta-ra,

The only program which is easy to use to change the refresh rate I

I run my old monitor at 1024x768 51 Hz, maybe it would work for the
TV.
