Why don't Nvidia release a 4600 DX9 card ????
From the benchmarks it would compete well with the new cards. Though i'am not sure if the DX9 fetures would wack to a crawl or not. |

The rest was true though On Mon, 04 Aug 2003 05:51:44 GMT, "Chimera" wrote: aep@nospam writeme.com wrote: On Mon, 04 Aug 2003 14:08:12 +1000, We Live For The One We Die For The One wrote: From the benchmarks it would compete well with the new cards. Firstly, if you really knew what you were babbling about, you would never have made the original post. To answer all of your questions, NO! Do you even know what the difference betweeen DX8 & 9 is? A week ago you say you just upgraded to a Ti200, now you're eyeing off a 9800 Pro. Nice card, it will up the ante on your current system, but dont be imagining DX9 as being some sort of ultimate goal. Nothing runs DX9, besides a few corporate Demos. You see the surface, you know the names of a few technologies, you read benchmarks. Ill bet you know all about Toms Hardware! A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and at the moment, you are a blazing canon. |

Im always looking for an upgrade, but the current offerning from ATI & nVidia leave me a little stale. Next gen should be due around the end of the year, I think Ill stick it out till then. |

Good reply. "Chimera" types know more than Joe average, but lack the humility of an expert. The "blazing canon" reference along with the entire last paragraph suggests the pathologically desperate condition of a nutcase trying to hold onto his own self-concept, more so than the tech-savvy sophisticate he surely considers himself to be. Expect a lot more of this spewing forth from the struggling tech sector, and feel free to suggest such rambling be returned to the orafice from which it was issued. LOL!!! Freud was right, I blame your mother too. |

They did, it's called the FX series. Updating the pixel/vertex shader
support to DX9 is not a trivial addition.. -- Robert Hancock Saskatoon, SK, Canada To email, remove "nospam" from Home Page: http://www.roberthancock.com/ "We Live For The One We Die For The One" wrote in message ...
