Looking for program to check RAM type
Abstract: Do you know a program to check RAM type?
Dear knowledgeables, I have to check about 2 dozen PC for the specific type and amount of RAM=20 installed. I hope to find a way to do this without having to open them all up, or=20 even look at POST-Screens. I would love to have a program that outputs the exaxt memory=20 configuration, like so: Bank 1: 128MB PC2700 DDR=20 Bank 2: 128MB PC2700 DDR=20 or the like. Is there such a thing? I have looked pretty extensively... In = newsgroup the usual advice on finding out RAM type is either a)look at the POST screen or b)open the=20 box, get the numbers on the memory bars and google it. Further info: PC range from 400MHz oldtimers to 2GHz models. OS is Windows XP or 2000,=20 though knoppix or dos booting is a=20 possibility. Thank you in advance for your kind advice, regards, Bj=F6rn. -- Bj=F6rn van der Meer |
