Default SCSI RAID controller for P4C800e-Delux

Work, I gave up trying to make my Mylex eXtremeRAID 1100 to work with
P4C800e-Deluxe.

Anybody is using a RAID card with this board? I'd like to find out what
is compatible with it.

Paul, thanks for suggestions. I tried them all and nothing works.
Strangely, the RAID card does not show the bios, but if the system is
booted from an IDE drive, I can use the RAID card and it works fine once
I setup my RAID configuration. Its just won't be able to see it as boot
drive.

Does the Mylex ROM show up on another computer ? It might
be helpful to verify the Mylex is healthy.

The BIOS defaults to the following, and this setting should
allow a PCI card ROM to show its output. I expect you already
have this setting, but check anyway:

Add-on ROM Display Mode [Force BIOS]

I suppose you've already disabled the Promise 20378
controller and the Intel Southbridge SATA should be in
non-RAID mode as well, for testing purposes.

If you want a new direction to try, go to altavista.com and
search for two terms like P4C800 and RAID5. The RAID5 term is
unique enough, that it will avoid confusion with the onboard
RAID capabilities. It seems there are some 3ware and Promise
controllers I saw in the returned search results, so you may
find some configs out there that work.

HTH,
Paul
