Default A7N8X Deluxe - 2500 or 2600 cpu?

I'm planning on putting together a system soon. The difference in
price between the 2500 and 2600 isn't much but I've seen most folks
using the 2500 for OC. Would the 2600 be a better choice for the few
extra bucks?

The AMD 2500+ is a Barton with 512Kb Level 2 cache and it is running at
1833Mhz.
The AMD 2600+ is a Thoughbred with 256 Kb level 2 cache and is running at
over 2 Ghz.
Damm AMD for this "rating-numbers"

As the 2500+ has a bigger Level 2 cache and they might be ending up with
about the same max, then the 2500+ is a better choise.

Are you going to OC it? I've got a 2500, but don't want to spend extra
money on a new
cooler right now, so it's running down around 1955 Mhz. (40 to 45 deg C).
My Volcano 9 was nice on the XP2000, but this 2500 is putting out (seems
like)
a lot more heat when up around 2ghz.

My 2500 has been overclocked now for the past month using a Volcano 11
and MBM and Bios report it as running around 44 deg C, Sandra reports it
as being an XP3200.

Hi, i'm planing to buy a volcano 9 (sence they got the best cfm on the
market like the volcano11) and you've sayd that it was cooling well.
My question is, how far did you get with your athlon xp 2000 @ 1666mhz

hi did you monitor in the last few day the voltage of your cpu
What i would like to know is if you read high peak of voltage and low
peak... On the and web site they have some document on that and they
say the cpu is not suppose to support (long peak of high and low
voltage)... So what's your experience in that particular situation...

I have a Volcano 9 set at 1500rpm and it cools my 2500 oc to 2800 no problem
didn't even see an increase in temp at all.
