Default Compaq 5500 power question...

This worked for me – received a system that had been working fine and when
I powered it up I had the same symptoms. Turned out something had worked
loose during transit.
Unplug every card you can - CPUs, CPU sleeper cards, main card, memory
riser - everything you can, and reseat them all - hey presto - it'll work
- I hope!
