Default ATI AIW 9800Pro Quality Control???

Hi,

To all I just received AIW 9800Pro and upon first cold boot screens were
corrupted. Switched from 300W PS to 480W PS and no improvement.

I have since read numerous stories of people receiving these specific AIW
9800Pro cards with the same problem: Video is corrupted at first boot!

A couple of people indicated that they have gone through three cards to get
one that worked as advertised. This greatly increases the cost to an
already expensive card.

I purchased the AIW 9800Pro vice the 9800Pro as the price was not that much
more and allows video editing using the AIW.

It is costing me more than I thought and I am of the opinion that ATI must
be aware of the problem.

Anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks,
Scott

Yes, I swapped 3 times at Best Buy before I got a card with no
distortions in the overlay and the capture.
