Default TV tuner software

Ran into a problem with my Cyberlink software. For quite sometime
I've used the PowerVCR and PowerDirector applications to copy TV shows
over onto VCDs. Then I purchased a DVD burner which came with
PowerDVD. After I installed that the problems began.

Windows keeps recovering from serious faults. PowerDVD claims it
can't find "DWResource.dll". System and Google searches come up
empty. Ditto at MS Knowledge Base.

Removed and reinstalled the software but still the problem remains.
Tried system restore also to no avail.

Might anyone else here have had a similar experience?
