if that was your question. On a browser that works, you get redirected.
On IE6, you get an error.

If you want to collect all the security updates, you could
always try wsusoffline 9.2.1 version. The individual files
that back the WindowsUpdate site should still be on the Microsoft server.

You don't have to run that tool from WinXP, and the actual
downloads come straight from microsoft.com. The wsusoffline.net
site only provides the scripted software to make it happen.

And if Microsoft has an actual "plan", it's a secret.

suggest wsupdate to get the bulk of the updates and should
download everything normally after that.

That's the last one for WinXP, with the OS probably
being listed in a "legacy" section.
