Dedicated Video power supply
Has anyone used one of these? Thermaltake Power express. 250W PS that fits
in a spare drive bay.SLI capable. I've seen them for $79.00. |

It probably works very well, though only systems with extraordinary power
demands (e.g. 7950 quad-SLI, X1900XT in Crossfire) will need it, at which point it's cheaper to buy one of these than upgrade to a bigger main PSU. Beside video cards, this aux PSU also make sense for systems with Peltier blocks.
