Problem with a DL380
Hello
I have a DL380 933mhz 512megs, right now no hard drives. A little history first. I had this server in storage for a while. I was going to put Linux on the system, but decide against it. When I took the server out of storage at first the server would not power on at all. The power light would just stay the dull amber, no fans no nothing. After playing with the cables and resitting everything I finally got the system to come on, but no video. So I thought maybe somehow I blow the motherboard. Well I order a new motherboard and installed the board today. To my shock I still have no video. It seems that its getting power as all the fans seem to be working, but the hard drive I installed doesnot spin-up. I tried different cpus going from a single 600 to dual 733 with no luck. I really dont belive that the brand new board is bad also. One thing I notice is that the the leds by the system configuration switch donot cycle. Any input would be helpful. tks phil |
