Default GA-K8N ultra win installation Q

OK I give up, trying to install a single Sata drive and then win.
No raid just the single sata.
I dont mind whether I use the Sil sata or nvidea sata connector I just
cannot work out what the bios sata/raid settings are supposed to be for a
single drive.
I checked Gigabyte FAQ for single sata and thought I'd done as suggested,
but apparently not.
TY - frustrated

Further;
I actually have 2* sata disks (identical)
I dont care whether I have raid or not.
I'd just like to get the sys running in either Mirror or single.
So far using the Sil slots or nvidea slots, and bios defaults just produces
errors, and am unable to install win.

All sorted,
appears the C: drive had somehow become corrupted (boot sector?)
Used Fdisk to cure
