Default Possible next find?

Hi guys.. Hope you all had a great weekend.. My Craigslist searcher
came up with the following ad and I've got a note in to the seller
asking about specifics for the machine & external drive enclosure..
I'm thinking that this may be a good way to get a cheap drive enclosure
of the UE variety (I think?) that won't cost me $50 to get shipped..
I'm not sure what the machine is, but it might be good for parts,
but is much bigger than I need for what I've got.. Anyway, we'll see
if its still available or not..

That looks like it might be a Proliant 5000 ... more PCI slots that the
other, earlier models of the same look. The extrenal drive thingy is a
proliant Storage F1. Its FWS2, so it tops out at 20MB/s. Not the best
performing kid on the block.

Actually, I dont see anything in that deal that is too compelling. You could
setup a hog of a linux server with it ... but beyond that, not much.

Be prepared to spend some money on parts for that thing ... memory, addt'l
CPU's and VRMS, etc ....

Darn.. Too bad (on the F1)).. I'm still waiting for a reply and will let you
know if the owner claims differently.. I'm not really interested in the
Proliant at all other than for use as a possible parts machine and not really
much interest there either.

Thanks for the comments..
