Removed ATA Drive no Boot on SATA
I had 2 ATA drives which I added a SATA drive, now I removed the ATA drives
and I can't boot to the SATA unless I use a boot floppy. What happened, and can I fix it? |

On Asus boards, SATA drives are normally recognized and you don't have to load special drivers. In the bios however, you need to set the boot sequence correctly (boot boot priority). |

I have a 120G Seagate SATA as my IPL drive in an ASUS P4B800 with no problem.
You don't mention how you xferred the data to the SATA drive. Coul it be that the 'Active' or 'Hidden' bits were not set properly during the copy process?
