Default laptop LCD question.

Hi,

I wish to get an old (real cheap) laptop and connect my desktop computer to
the lcd screen, I need it for a specific location for which a display will
not fit.
Is it possible?
has anyone already done that?
what am I facing here?
obviously the laptop will have to be dismantled and its LCD would have to be
rewired to a standard connector,
is this feasible?
if this is not the correct newsgroup, do excuse me, a note about where to
post such questions is mostly appreciated.

thanx,
-tzurs.

It is not a matter of wiring in a connector. You have to have a
special circuit board to drive a laptop display.
