Default Ebuyer Review Links - Read Before Buying!

You're advised to read the following interesting, but alarming, links before
you buy from the Ebuyer bunch of cowboys;

http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/retailer/3956/reviews

http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q...p-f=iso-8859-1

http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/online-shops...r-com/1002546/

http://www.ciao.co.uk/ebuyer_com__Review_5358788

http://forums.whatpc.co.uk/thread.js...5&msRange=1 5

http://search.complaints.com/search?...put=xml_no_dtd

These are just a few as there are also many more all with the same tale of
woe with wrong items being sent, items not being sent at all, refunds taking
an excessive time, e-notes ignored, letters ignored, etc, etc.

What an appalling set of cowboys, or crooks as one reviewer described them!

I tried the first link and someone else has already typed me a
suitable answer...

"It's funny. Most of the comments on here are from people who have had
a bad experience with ebuyer. It's not very often someone with a good
experience feels the need to leave a comment.
I have used ebuyer on many occasions, because they are cheaper than a
lot of 'trade' suppliers. I have even had to return items that were
faulty. Yes, they have stopped their phone support - they're an
internet company! Yes, they take a long time to respond to enotes etc
- they're VERY busy, because they are great VFM.
If you expect instant responses to your queries, then you'll have to
use a company with more support/phone staff, which COSTS MONEY. You're
the one that has to pay for it.
Sorry if I seem to be ranting, but you can't have everything. Their
support is there, it just seems a bit slower than everyone else."

I myself have ordered 3 times from them so far, everything was on time
and as described.

You get what you pay for, if you want cheap prices who do you think is
going to pay for aftersales support if you aren't prepared to?

In my experience it depends on how many items you order whether they're any
cheaper. I ordering just 1-2 items then they can be cheaper as some items
are lower in price, but other can still be cheaper elsewhere. However if
ordering a number of items then they don't seem to run much cheaper than
others giving a better service as some items are marginally cheaper and
others are more expensive.

I have to say that with this experience I'm not ordering from the Ebuyer
cowboys again. Even if it means that some single items are going to cost
£1-2 more elsewhere it will certainly be worth it. In fact I can tell you
that it would have been cost effective to have paid £1-2 more for the item
given the amount extra it's so far cost me plus my time.

I didn't go to the other company I know of as I'd had to return a couple of
items in the past. However I now know that this other company had much
better service with a reply well within 24 hours, plus ringing me back as
promised, and a very prompt replacement.
