Yeah Apple really show the way from the tidy cable point of view,
sometimes when I'm doing a build I keep a pic of an iMac handy for
inspiration but it's impossible to get close, I always seem to end up with
the usual pc tangle that the system buiders do. Sata cables have helped a
bit though.

Oh ********!! Clouded and deluded mind ... I work with Mac & PC's and most
of the recent corporate PC's are light years ahead of the stodgy crappy old
Macs ( and I do mean the new ones)! Macs do have a place - on a shelf,
turned off ... for those not enlightened enough to find a good-looking PC
that performs better in every sense ;p

Most built systems I've seen look as if the owner's 12 year old son or
daughter has assembled them!!

Any high-end system I've seen by Alienware and others are far beyond what
any 12 year old could produce! Stop buying Dell's and see the
alternatives!!

Not saying that a well-built home PC can't match them easily - just rarely
do in my experience!

Pay attention when reading threads, the post was about internal build neatness not performance,
assuming you know how to click on a link go here http://www.apple.com/powermac/design.html to
see what a G5 looks like internally. If you have ever seen a G5 open you will know that no pc ever
built has got close to it (buildwise).

I did ... and they still suck! They are neat - nothing more. They're not
in any way impressive. In fact the Compaq Deskpro's (boring corporate
machines) are neater internal designs .. and easier to service. I work with
both and have done for some time so don't lecture me on them. I disagree on
your point and maintain that Mac users always have this attitude that they
have machines from the God's for some reason. Suppose they have to feel
happy about all that money they wasted when a coffee table would have looked
better in their living room ...

Well thank you for acknowledging that ability at least ... more than your
average Mac fan could admit to ;p It is a good-sized wasp though ... but
not one bread on ignorance and supposition ... experience and dislike!!!
