memory problem
I have a friend who has a new laptop that is supposed to have 256 M of RAM.
It shows up as 192. Is it a problem with the stick or is it a laptop thing that all the memory doesn't show up? Post the make and model and maybe someone can help you
in more detail. Also how is the memory installed, 1 SODIMM, or 2. It's one of 2 things most likely. Bad/incorrect memory or it has 64MB of integrated video and it doesn't count it, which in my experience is unlikely. "The_Pittmans" wrote in message ... Is the video ram shared? If so, 64mb of system ram is probably allocated to
the graphcs card -- Cari (MS-MVP Windows Client - Printing, Imaging & Hardware) www.coribright.com "The_Pittmans" wrote in message ... The laptop has an on-board graphics chip that has 'stolen' 64MB of the system RAM. |
