Default newbie overclocking

I recently purchased a Sony GRT360ZG, but I do not like the performance,
especially when running on batteries. I downloaded wcpuid, and similar from
intel. It informs me that the data bus is over clocked when on batteries.

What does this mean? How does this affect performance. It is suspos to be
533MHz and both programs state it is running at 1022MHz. This appears to
happen even if I turn off hyperthreading. Any hints?

Thanks for the help,
Scott
