hi guys at the moment im running my p4 2.6 at 3 by setting fsb to 150. i have pc3200, asus p4pe. ie 20 * 150: 3ghz is there anyway to alter clock multiplier on the chip ? ie lower and increase fsb Nope, all Intel chips are die-locked (as are AMD chips now too). If you want, you might be able to run your memory out-of-sync with the FSB (if your board supports memory multipliers 1:1), but the benefits of doing so are minimal. You'll probably get a better performance gain by setting the memory timings to be as tight (low) as possible. -- Michael Brown www.emboss.co.nz : OOS/RSI software and more Add michael@ to emboss.co.nz - My inbox is always open |
