Default PC2100 DDR Ram with Athlon XP 2500 Barton?

Is PC2100 DDR Ram compatible with the Athlon XP 2500 Barton? If it is, do
you have a motherboard recommendation for this combination?
Thanks

Yeah, just find any DDR compatible motherboard that'll run a 2500. There
are loads of them out there.

PC2100 is only 133MHz. So unless you can overclock it to 166MHz, then it
won't be able to run in sync with the 2500+ at 166MHz. Of course you could
run it out of sync if your board supports this, or lower the 2500+'s
default FSB to 133MHz. In short the answer is yes, but you will lose
performance.

Crucial PC2100 can probably handle running at 166. Other brands, you'll
have to check with other users experience.
