Default MSA20 for SAS Drives?

Will the MSA20 external SATA enclosure also work as a 3.5" SAS drive
enclosure? Since the cabling looks the same from the outside, it looks
like all the pins would be connected and it could be used this way?

Answer to my question is no. SAS backplanes may take SATA drives, but
SATA backplanes won't take SAS.
