ASUS
Just a shameless plug for ASUS and www.scan.co.uk. I wrecked an X1900XT a
while back, did it myself, voided the warranty and everything. After I broke it I sent an email to ASUS, saying that I would like the card repaired, that I realised I had voided the warranty, but would be willing to pay for repairs. ASUS asked me to return it to where I purchased it from, so off to scan I went, same explanation- my own fault, neither the manufacturer nor the retailer to blame, just me. Scan wanted a statement from me that this was outside thier normal RMA procedure, so I sent them copies of all emails between myself and ASUS, and sent them a letter admitting responsibility for damaging the card, scan then returned the card to ASUS. I had forgotten about it until I recieved a courier parcel on Saturday past, didn't have a clue what it was until I opened it. A brand spanking new ASUS X1900XT!! Bloody great! |
