DV back to camera

Dear all, this is my first submission, so please bear with me.
Many have written about their difficulties playing edited DV back to
camera with the onboard 1394 socket, and I have had the same
frustrating problem.
Several people have mentioned a solution for WinXP users involving a
patch from asuscom.de.
I would like to report that this patch has completely solved the
problem for me, and I would like to thank those who have taken the
trouble to share their experiences with others of us in this
newsgroup. Especially Skysurfer for his very detailed installation
instructions.
For the benefit of those who are newly struggling with the problem,

I believe that the patch is only good for WinXP
