nforce2 on-board LAN problem
I know this isn't a Chaintech forum, but I have just acquired a board based on the nforce2 chipset
and as the nforce2 chipset is the same as on some of the ASUS boards, I'm hoping someone has had the same misfortune as I and can help me out with this. The board is a Chaintech 7NIL1 microATX board w/onboard LAN. Problem is, in WinXP, the thing intermittently disconnects from the network. It will show a popup window in the system tray stating that the network cable is unplugged, then it will clear, and repeat. Not a problem with my router, cable, etc. as I use this connection all of the time. I've got the l atest BIOS, I've tried the latest nvidia nforce drivers as well as the WHQL certified ones from the Chaintech site. I've also tried disabling some spread spectrum setting in BIOS as was recommended on this forum some time ago. Still the same problem. Anyone? Thanks for your suggestions, euclio |
