A7N8X-VM not detecting CD RW on POST - HELP!
I'm having problems with the Asus A7N8X-VM mobo not detecting a CD RW on POST. The
CD RW is a LG CED-8120B IDE ATA as a slave. However, the DVD RW, a Pioneer 106 is detected as a master. The jumpers are set to CS - if I change to MA and SL, it still doesn't make any difference. I had a spare DVD ROM, so I swapped the CD RW with it and it was detected on POST - so it appears to be an issue with the IDE ATA CD RW which worked fine with the old mobo I replaced with the Asus. Why doesn't the mobo detect the ATA, only the ATAPI???
