Default XP1800+ on a Soltek SL-75DRV2

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why I'm unable to use an Athlon XP 1800+ with the
Soltek SL-75DRV2 mobo? When I try, it won't even boot up (just a
black screen).

The mobo and CPU are apparently fine individually - the mobo works
with another CPU (1700+), and the CPU works in another mobo (Asus
A78NX).

The text on the CPU label is: AXDA1800DUT3C

Maybe that gives some clues?

I've already updated the mobo with the latest BIOS.

Thanks for any ideas!

i dont know if my motherboard is the same model number as yours but mine is
Soltek, I recently upgraded the BIOS of mine and changed the clock speed to
166/133, that resulted in the PC never even reaching POST.

I have to move the jumper near the battery on the mobo into reset position
and place it back, then set the clock speed back to 133/133
