Default Question About Splitcam-Type Drivers

Hi everyone:

Do splitcam type drivers only capture the entire desktop or can they
be used to capture only an active window?

I ask this because I'm thinking of trying out BlogTV for The Pat Cook
Show, (Which BTW I am targeting a November return date - Just in time
for November sweeps too ), but I don't want to lose the ability to
archive in other formats besides Flash.

If they do/will capture only an active window, I'd like to simply
resize the browser or other program that's used to broadcast on there
and leave the rest of the desktop out. If I can't, then I guess I'm
SOL unless I can somehow customize my desktop differently.

This would also be FANTASTIC for direct interaction with the viewing
audience and for guests should I have one on.

If there is such a splitcam-type driver that will do this, which one
is it? Is it free $$$-wise and free of "little gremlins" that might
harm my system?

Cheers

You know, I think you are a little more inventive than
most GoogleGroups Spammers, - well there is Radium.

It appears you never finished with the problem you
were troubleshooting with "Frank". Why would
anyone invest their time with you after the way you
quit that thread.

Spamming for your sites just indicates how pathetic
they must be.

Luck;
Ken

P.S. Note: I didn't say you were a GoogleGroups Spammer
just that you are acting like one.

First of all, if you will take a look at the PROPERTIES of my post, you will
notice that I am NOT using Google Groups.

It appears you never finished with the problem you
were troubleshooting with "Frank". Why would
anyone invest their time with you after the way you
quit that thread.

Are you talking about the Movie Maker thread or the other one?

Spamming for your sites just indicates how pathetic
they must be.

First off, I don't know of a single person who doesn't put their sites
and/or blogs in their sig. But apparently since you either A). Don't have a
website/blog, B).You do have a website/blog but don't put it in your sig or
C). Don't have have a website/blog and (obviously) don't care to see other
people list theirs, you seem to think you're the owner of the NG or
something and can make the rules.

Secondly, my podcasts are part of the NEW Internet. USENET is OLD SKOOL. It
is still around because, despite all ASSHOLES like you Ken and the other
perverts (Many of whom are sitting in jail thanks to NBC News & Chris
Hanssen), USENET is still a useful place for information - PARTICULARLY
since any information I get from here COULD have an effect on what I do with
one of my podcasts.

Either way, If you can't ANSWER THE QUESTION ON THE SUBJECT AT HAND (Which
should be a really simple thing to do if you've had ANY experience at all
with DESKTOP & VIDEO PUBLISHING on the Internet), then you should CRAWL BACK
INTO YOUR CUBBIE HOLE and leave it for those who can and/or willing to do so
WITHOUT coming off like an ass SUCH AS YOU Ken.

****in' jerk (TROLL too). : *Evil Mad Emoticon Look* (If emoticons were
possible to use on USENET that is).

Luck;

That's the BEST thing you've said in your whole post. Too bad the rest of
your dissected post above was full of you in a bad mood (And that's putting
it VERY mildly).

Come back after you've had the first cup of Starbucks. Then maybe you'll
have a different approach (Like answering the question on the subject at
hand?)

Cheers (To everyone else)

First I must have missed all the threads where
you provided any useful answers. All the threads
here in rec.video.desktop, that you appear in,
were started by you. I couldn't find you replying
in any thread I expanded; at least going back to
the beginning of last month.

The one thread of yours where you responded to
Frank, and where HE was trying to help YOU with
a problem, you never replied after Frank explicitly
asked you to and you said you would.

Second I don't know exactly where you are posting
from (other than Comcast) but you seem to have
missed my second post with the PS. That might be,
in some way, do to whatever gives you the ability
to post more than two hours before the post you
are replying to.

Starting a thread by posting some question you
have no intention of following through with; just to
spam your "NEW Internet" sites, is very much a
tactic found with another "NEW Internet" creation
the GoogleGroups Spammer.

Isn't it also a little pathetic when this "NEW Internet
must resort to spamming the "Old Skool" Internet, to
try and find someone to read their little ego driven
efforts. As even you have noticed, people come to
the Usenet to actually exchange information and
address problems. Could there be anything more
self-centered and less productive than a blog of
someone's thoughts and opinions?

You claim anyone with any experience would be
able to answer the question you posted, so since
you had to ask the question...? Trying to call my
experience into question with this approach, does
provide some insight into your understanding of
simple logic. Or are you admitting that the
question was just a ruse to post your spam?

You fit in the category of those I reserve the right
to refuse service, no matter how much you demand
otherwise. Now it would be interesting if all those
who you have helped, through your postings, would
prove me wrong.

Luck;
Ken

I don't monitor the newsgroups very closely if this hasn't occured to you.

The one thread of yours where you responded to
Frank, and where HE was trying to help YOU with
a problem, you never replied after Frank explicitly
asked you to and you said you would.

And he did. We just couldn't resolve the problem. Stuff happens.

And AGAIN, which thread are you referring to that involve me & Frank - The
Movie Maker thread or the one involving video on my digital cam?

Second I don't know exactly where you are posting
from (other than Comcast) but you seem to have
missed my second post with the PS. That might be,
in some way, do to whatever gives you the ability
to post more than two hours before the post you
are replying to.

I chose to let your PS stand on its merits (Such as they are).

Starting a thread by posting some question you
have no intention of following through with; just to
spam your "NEW Internet" sites, is very much a
tactic found with another "NEW Internet" creation
the GoogleGroups Spammer.

NOT if it's RELEVANT TO DESKTOP PUBLISHING & PUTTING VIDEO ON THE INTERNET.
That's what I'm inquring about with this thread (Assuming you'll stop
playing "Internet policeman" long enough for someone with a USEFUL answer to
respond that is).

Isn't it also a little pathetic when this "NEW Internet
must resort to spamming the "Old Skool" Internet, to
try and find someone to read their little ego driven
efforts. As even you have noticed, people come to

Hey....The more sources the merrier.

You claim anyone with any experience would be
able to answer the question you posted, so since
you had to ask the question...? Trying to call my
experience into question with this approach, does
provide some insight into your understanding of
simple logic. Or are you admitting that the
question was just a ruse to post your spam?

Do you have any experience with desktop video publishing or putting video on
the Internet or did you just simply subscribe to this newsgroup simply
because Giganews happens to carry it? If you have some experience and can
answer my question, why not just simply ANSWER IT with USEFUL information
and leave it at that?

And if you wanna accuse ME of spamming the newsgroup with my blogs and
podcasts (Which DO have audio & video on them I might add if you haven't
noticed), then you may as well accuse EVERYONE on the 'net of the same thing
when they post.

You fit in the category of those I reserve the right
to refuse service, no matter how much you demand
otherwise. Now it would be interesting if all those
who you have helped, through your postings, would
prove me wrong.

So be it then. If there's ONE thing I hate is some ****IN' MORON playing
"Internet policeman" with his nit-picking, USELESS posts simply because he
thinks he's somehow "God's gift to the Internet" (Ohh wait, that was Chris
Hanssen, wasn't it? Ohh...My bad) DUE to said nit picking and everyone else
on all of Earth is not.

Now can we get this thread BACK ON TOPIC Ken or are you going to keep
ruining it for everyone else with your nit-picking of my (And that of most
everyone else on the 'net) netiquette practices?

Cheers (Everyone else)

You might consider Usenet "old skool", but I prefer it above podcasts,
because I can easily skip uninteresting sections. For many podcasts you can
apply the 20-80 rule: 20% interesting, 80% balony. :-)
