ATI 9600 Pro & LCD widescreen
my old CRT finally died and I am shopping for a widescreen LCD. Since I have
an old video card how can I get the aspect ratio to display correctly on the widescreen? I don't want everything to be stretched sideways on the screen. do any drivers support this or will I have to buy another video card. the 9600 Pro has a DVI output

I used to do the same on my 9800 XT which isn't that much newer. What resolutions is it letting you choose now? -- The Zero ST

What widescreen resolution do you need?
Look at Chapter 3 of this: http://support.amd.com/us/GPU_TechDo...9600MAC_UG.pdf (It's not just for Mac versions.) I hope that you'll find that it supports the resolution that you want.
