Is it my battery?

Hello,

I have a dell C640. Turned it on and found no power totally dead on
battery start. Put it on AC power and all fine with battery light
showing amber. Checked battery level 99% ???

Still no joy after number of attempts an having removed battery machine
still OK on AC but nil life on battery.

IS IT THE BATTERY HAS FAILED? ANY INFO PLEASE.

BATTERY MODULE: Li-ion 66Whr

the unit is 3 years, battery is most likely dead... will not hold a
substantial charge to operate. replace the battery.

even if you pull out the battery,and press the test button on it to show
how much charge is on it, it doesnt indicate how long that charge is
good for.
