Default Calalyst 9.7 reporting wrong temperature?


115 degree C for my 4850 with DuOrb copper!!! 9.6 was reporting about 70
degree C....

Am I the only one having the issue?

I thought the self-protection of 4850 actually kicked in and froze the
whole system when the temperature goes over 12x.... Luckily the chip was
not fried.....

Was the system stable at 115C? Remember, silicon is not water, so the 100C
psychological barrier doesn't need to exist.

The system was working when it reported 11x degree C. After about 3
minutes, the screen went black! Then I realized I forgot the plug in the
fans.
