Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem
with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and

So why do you bother with the bloated Media Player 11? Use VLC for all your
media.

Posted this solution to a similar issue a week or two back. If this is
your problem and its to become common then MS should do a fix. Do you
have Vista? Are you getting the issue because there has been a hardware
'change' that the DRM (copy protection) is designed to look for and
doesn't like? In which case you just go to your DRM folder in Vista and
delete everything in there. New copies of the files are then generated
for your 'new' hardware

Sorry it didn't help - but that was a Vista fix for your problem. Looks
like XP has a similar issue but different solution and I'm afraid I
don't know what it is.

This may be a possible solution. Its what I use to play video and has
also sorted issues with WMP too as it provides some codecs that XP is
missing...

I dont like installing Codec packs except from software makers like
DIVX .
one never really knows whats in there.
not that i think there are viruses , it just that some dont work well.
if u can tell me exactly which codec has a problem for this thats
great.
DECCHECK shows i am using a cyberlink codec.

i dont know how to choose another one or even if its a codec problem
to begin with or a Nvidea driver issue.
i can tell you i didnt have this problem before i got the Nvidea card.

Up to you. been using it for years with no problems

I've no idea what you already have and what is missing from your system.
Nor do I know what codec the movies you are trying to play require.
Sorry.

I don't know whether a new codec will sort this either. Its just one
option to try. See...

One final thought - did you reinstall Cyberlinks PowerDVD? That's
probably the missing or corrupt codec.
