Default Network adaptor problem

I recently purchased an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard. I don't seem to be able to
make the onboard network adaptor work properly.

I've downloaded and installed the latest nVidia and ASUS drivers.

I've also got a Realtek RTL8029 network adaptor, which works fine.

I can't get it to connect to my internet account although when I try to,
winipcfg says a lease has been obtained but shows no expiry date (I don't
know if this is significant). The mac address is registered with the ISP.

Any help welcomed.

Phileas

The new mac address is or just the Realtek one?

Yes.
But it doesn't matter now - I'd registered the wrong MAC address!
Problem now solved.

Thanks anyway.
