Radeon IGP 345M - Black and White TV out
Hi all,
I have a hp nx9010 laptop, which comes equipped with a Radeon IGP 345M video card. I have linked this to my tv via an s-video cable for watching dvd's etc. However the display is always black and white on the tv. I have correctly set the region (PAL I for the uk) in display settings for the tv. I know the s-video cable i am using is ok as it works with another pc. Any other ideas? DJ. |

Perhaps the TV doesn't support s-video? How are you connecting to it? If
through an actual s-video in, then this is not the case. But if through SCART you might need to select a proper (s-video) AV-channel. "DJ" wrote in message ... I am connecting to my video recorder via and svideo/scart converter. I know the
config should work as it already works with my desktop PC. DJ. Perhaps the TV doesn't support s-video? How are you connecting to it? If through an actual s-video in, then this is not the case. Think i have found the problem.
The registry key that holds the format for the ATI IGP is held in the key: KKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ATI Technologies\CDS\0000\0\Video Out There are 2 values which can be set: Crystal Frequency And Standard. After setting the region on my card to PAL-I, the 'Standard' value in the registry stays at "NTSC (0x00000001)". Anyone know how i can manually change this to the correct region ie PAL-I? Does the crystal frequency need to be changed too? Cheers . In article , DJ says... I am connecting to my video recorder via and svideo/scart converter.
