9600 Pro Mem clock rate?
Just wondering what the memory clock rate should be for the ATI 9600 Pro?
From the reading I can find it states 400 for CPU and 600 for memory. However, my 9600 Pro is showing 300 for mem clock speed? Could this be caused by my MB only supporting 4X AGP? Thanks |

Hello,
I can not recall the application however it was some small free application on a website I came across. Can you recommend anything else? Cheers! "MinMin" wrote in message . au... You may need to look at it again more carefully - it will be showing your "real clock" as 300, your "effective clock" will be 600 (the more technically minded here will be able to tell you why - something to do with DDR x 2). AGP has nothing to do with actual clock speed. -- MinMin "Why do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place?" |

Since radeon9600 uses DDr memory, (double data rate), it IS working at
600MHz. However many (small and free) utilities only register actual physical clock rate (not data rate) of rams and thus show half the actaul value. Maybe such progs are made for SDR rams or just for wide range, non specific gfx cards. "TMan" wrote in message news:4022d633$1_3@aeinews.... Hello, I can not recall the application however it was some small free application on a website I came across. Can you recommend anything else? Cheers! You bet, I reckon this is the best free system info program - http://www.aida32.hu/aida-features.php?bit=32 I'm not the only one who recommends it - http://www.pricelessware.org/2004/about2004PL.htm (if you're after the best freeware, this is the place to start looking!) Have fun!
