Default GeForce 6200 fan noise

Hi Folks,

I need a little help from the circuit designers.

I have a PNY GeForce 6200 would like to reduce the noise from the heatsink
fan. I bought a $30 Zalman VGA cooler and it doesn't fit, waaahh! Now I am
thinking of reducing the stock fan speed in half, for example splice the +5V
and put a resistor in line. But I have little electrical expertise. What
value resistor do I need to make this work? Please give me the value and the
color code for the resistor, and the wattage.

Thanks in advance,
Mario

go out and get a 6600gt with passive cooling
it uses heat pipes. about 186.00 us dollars or get a passive cooling unit
for your 6200 or put ear plugs in.
