Can't install EN8400GS Silent
Hey guys I'm trying to install the Asus EN8400GS Silent on my Asus M2N-MXSE
PLUS board but it doesn't seem to work properly winxp pro detects the card no problem installs the drivers but I have a max resolution of 640x480 at 4bit colour depth and it won't go any higher if I take the card out and use the integrated graphics on the motherboard everything works fine. Please help |

I don't if u can all it has in the BIOS is the sequence to which the BIOS

Please help When you go to Device Manager, and look at the video card, does it say the driver loaded OK ? Check the properties and the list of driver files. Do the driver files look like they're from Nvidia ? If you want another tool to use, go to Start:Run and enter "dxdiag" without the quotes. DXDiag is part of Microsoft DirectX. When it runs, it collects info from your system. There is a "Save All Information" button at the bottom of the window. Open the saved file, and you'll find a list of driver files for the video card. That would be an easy way to copy/paste what you find. This is just part of the list for my old video card... Name: RADEON 9800 PRO Device ID: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4E48&SUBSYS_00021002&REV_00\4&102 AC5BC&0&00F0 Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\ati2mtag.sys, 6.14.0010.6606 Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\ati2erec.dll, 1.00.0000.0005 Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ati2dvag.dll, 6.14.0010.6606 Maybe DXDiag won't run right now either, but give it a try and see what you find. All fixed reinstalled windows with sp1 then the latest asus drivers and
still had same problem so i installed sp3 it fixed the problem. "Paul" wrote in message ...
