Have you tried after installing the x264 package?

For viewing and/or processing AVC/H264 (MPEG4 part 10) .avi or .mp4,
and maybe .mpg (MPEG2 program or system files with AVC/H264
compressed video)

MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, has already
been included by the DVD Forum as a mandatory capability of players for
the HD-DVD format and adopted by Blu-ray DVDs. By offering a superior
quality to other video compression standards, MPEG-4 AVC provides many
opportunities for implementation via digital TV, mobile phones, and DVD
storage. Also for portable players like the Sony PSP.

If you get the free x264 codec/filter you can encode to much smaller files
that
are at a higher quality than DVD compliant MPEG. (Baseline & Main Profile)
Or even HD with the High Profile.

If the OP is familiar with registering DirectShowFilters he might want to
see if he can find the CoreAAC Audio Decoder and the CoreAVC Video
Decoder Codec. (Free downloads if you can find them.)

Luck;
Ken

Hi Ken,
And thanks for the informative response. I must apologize for the late
response, as time has been at a premium as of late.

Thanks again,
Alex
