desktop fonts are not anti-aliased
i got a new ati radeon for my windows 2000.
in the highest rez 1280x768 mode, the screen fonts are not anti-aliased. i went into display properties-Effects and made sure smooth fonts was turned on. the font is Arial and the size i selected was 10. |

are you sure the highest res is 1280x768 and not 1024x768, or perhaps
1280x1024? at 1280x768 you screen and fonts will appear a bit "stretched" vertically. if you're running WinXP you can always try the ClearType option to smooth your screen fonts. ClearType is primarily designed for LCD screens but on a CRT some like and others don't. You mean the ClearType option? That's a part of XP, not a typeface or
something you can load on 2000. Makes a big difference, particularly on analog panels. If you're not running the one single resolution that your LCD is designed for, it's gonna look like crap. Find out where it's supposed to be and leave it there or get a CRT screen. |
