Modding my old EVGA GeForce 8800 GT video card's fan to blow heatfrom the PC case?
Hi.
I have an old EVGA GeForce 8800 GT video card's fan in a brand new Antec Sonata Proto mid tower ATX case with two case 120mm case fans, MSI P43 NEO3-F (MSI-7514) motherboard, etc. See http://zimage.com/~ant/antfarm/about/computers.txt for the details for this secondary computer. Also, hardwares were cleaned last night from its dust pileups after about two years of usage. I noticed this video card's fan goes to maximum speed (4,000 RPM) even when my computer is idling. I think its air flow is not good in this new case. I know my old MSI ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB) blows its hot air in the rear, but this NVIDIA card doesn't. Is there a way to mod its cooler to blow out heat?
