Default Z buffering

Is there any way to limit or disable zbuffering in an 9800XT. I play
Asheron's Call and have intermitent blue screen and reboot problems
while playing the game. I have been told that the zbuffer is the most
likely culprit.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thats kind of like saying "My car keeps stopping, how can I disable
the gearbox?".

Cute but not the help I was looking for. Can/should it be done or not?
I bought this card because I thought it would last for a while before
becoming obsolete with upcoming games but... if compatibility is a
problem perhaps I should look elsewhere.

Blaming the Z-Buffer sounds like a red herring to me, try different
Catalyst drivers.

The ATI Catalyst 10 drivers seem to minimze my problem but not
eliminate it. I'll try Omega's drivers and see if that helps.

I believe the r3dtweak lets you select zbuffer options. Give it a try.

You know that without a Z buffer you have 2D instead of 3D, Z-buffer
is needed to decide what is behind and what is on the foreground!

Anyhow, the advanced deeper driver settings do allow you so change it
between 24bits or 16bits. For whatever that helps!
