A new year Dell but.....
I can order an M60 but is there anywhere (shop) Dells can be handled/viewed
beforehand. I am in the UK clanger

only place i have had a hands on is at computer fairs, and the systems are

I am in the UK clanger No; the business model for Dell is to sell it cheaply by mail order, without any retail outlets. You do get a 30-day period in which to return the machine for any reason.
