Two Monitors... Taskbar across both..??

that's because the taskbar is set to one display,
0-1280 x 1024, the second extended desktop is 1281 x 1024 (your case).
I think you can change that (but not sure the bar contents are dynamic),
and it could affect ALL your screens/windows... be a big mess.

You can (in some cases) move the taskbar to your other display...
for example the bottom windows taskbar on display 1..."floats"
so you can drag it to the right, left, or top of display one, or drag it
to display number 2...yeah...that works...I just tried it.

Search for Ultramon. It's a great little app for dual monitors.
