GS6800 DVI-out is dead after m/b replacement...
If it isn't one thing, it's another...
I just replaced my m/b (identical m/b - warranty replacement) and everything seems to work except one thing: The DVI doesn't seem to output anything at all on my GS6800 ("overclocked") graphics card. I have dual monitors set up, and it's been happy for the past year like this, but now only the analog output of the card seems to work. The DVI going to the DVI monitor is appears dead. And I checked the DVI monitor which another computer to make it didn't suddenly go dead, so I am pretty sure it's the card. So everything is identical to what I had going fine a few days ago, except for the DVI output on the video card. Is there some reset switch I need to engage? I've done the RTFM and news group searches with no luck. (The manual really is crappy by the way) Can anyone help?? Much thanks... Joseph |

Joseph Make sure it's the DVI port by hooking up a DVI-to-VGA dongle first. If it can't pass through the analog signal without DDE, then it's hosed. |
