Default 3 Displays?

I have an Radeon XT850. This has 1 DVI, 1 VGA and 1 component out (to Sony
HDTV).

I recently got a second monitor which works great. Very large desktop now!
Problem is that I can't get my TV to be one of the displays anymore because
the second monitor is connected and is taking up one of the two spots in the
Catalyst Control Centre. When I try to drag the TV icon into the second
display spot, CCC wants to "swap" monitors to activate the TV.

Is it possible to have BOTH desktop displays working, AND the TV set to
clone one of these displays?

I'm building another system where I purchased a Sapphire X1650 Pro. It has
2 DVI outs and 1 component out (TV). Will this problem occur on that card
too?

What about a dvi splitter, one to the TV, the other has a VGA adapter to the
second monitor.

each dvi has digital and analogue outputs anyway (the splitter allows u to
connect both)

same deal really
only 2 outputs per card, you can just choose which 2 they come out on

True... but with the splitter the Secondary Desktop and the Sony TV would
show exactly the same image. That's all I want. The TV doesn't have to
have it's own settings or desktop, it just needs to be a clone of one of the
desktops so I can watch a movie on the TV from the computer.

i don't think it would
unless they changed something since last time i looked
you only get 2 DACS, and they can connect to any of your 5 outputs (managed
via the control panel thingy)
of course if someone knows better, please post
