Two version of AOpen 6600GT agp?

I noticed that there are two versions of AOpen 6600GT agp:

has DDR
while this one

Which one is better?

The one with GDDR3 is better. The memory's faster.

From what I can tell, the one with DDR is no more than a
standard 6600 except the core is clocked faster. The DDR3 has faster
memory.

All of the 6600 cards, and evey mid-range card by other
manufacturers has a 128-bit memory bus. Some are 64-bit. You'd have to
move into the higher-end cards for 256-bit memory. By the way. A
128-bit 6600GT is better than the 256-bit ATI 9x00, and the Nvidia FX
series.

I hope so. I just placed an order for 16 systems from Mwave.com.
Mobo is nForce3 .. video is 6600GT. Oh man! Here we go. I'm
going to be raising hades with nVidia if my Engineering apps
stutter. They've had a coons age to fix that. No excuses
anymore. I'll send those 6600s back and buy ATI 9800s in
a heartbeat.

Also, which way are you talking? There's 256-bit memory
interface .. but can be on a 128 meg video ram card.
My ATI 9800 Pro is 256-bit by 128 meg .. and it doesn't
stutter in 3D games. I know about the FX series.

Got a refurbished AOpen 6600GT - in a retail box! - from Newegg for $128
(before taxes)
and you're right about 6600GT. I could sense its silkness with my eyes
in 3DMark05 which
got me over 3,300 while my old ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128mb agp did 2,342 a
year ago.
It played Quake4 in 1024x768 noAA like a butter.
